About the coin. The 2026 $2 'C' Mintmark Coloured Fine Silver Proof Coin, The Last Post, is struck by the Royal Australian Mint in 99.99% fine silver, with a coin weight of 8.55 g and a diameter of 20.50 mm. The coloured reverse, designed by Lydia Ashe, shows a bugler before a war memorial at sundown, with bars of music radiating outward like sound waves and the words The Last Post and Remembrance following the rim in twilight oranges and purples. The obverse carries the Daniel Thorne effigy of King Charles III. The 'C' mintmark shows the coin was struck in Canberra, with a maximum mintage of just 10,000. A version without the mintmark will also enter circulation; this is the collector edition, encapsulated in its official Royal Australian Mint presentation case with a numbered certificate of authenticity, valued at $105.00 RRP.
