This medallion commemorates one of the bravest yet ill-fated charges in Australian history - the attack on the Nek at Gallipoli. On August 7th, 1915, at 4.30am, the young Anzacs of the 8th and 10th Light Horse Regiments charged out of the trenches, only to be met with a hail of bullets from Turkish defenders. Despite the devastating outcome, the selfless bravery displayed that morning will forever be remembered in the Anzac legend. Each box includes a vial of authentic Gallipoli sand and a numbered certificate of authenticity.
