The Western Australia Police Force Aboriginal Service Medal is a significant award established to acknowledge the dedication and service to police duty by Aboriginal Officers and Staff of the WA Police Force. This esteemed medal serves as a tangible recognition of the important roles that Aboriginal people have played in law enforcement in Western Australia since the early nineteenth century.
Employees who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and have a minimum of 3 years of diligent and ethical service with the WA Police Force are eligible for this award.
The medal celebrates various roles carried out by Aboriginal people, including but not limited to Aboriginal Assistants, Police Aides, Aboriginal Police Liaison Officers, Police Staff, and Community Liaison Officers.
If you order your medal unmounted, the medal and ribbon will be supplied as separate components. Miniature medals will be supplied with 15cm of ribbon and full size medals will be supplied with 30cm of ribbon.
