Tomorrow, 9 June 2021, is Thank a First Responder Day and BrandNet, the company behind the Military Shop, Army Shop, Navy Shop and Air Force Shop is proud to say thank you to the first responders who do so much for the community in which we live and work.

Spearheaded by Fortem Australia, a national not-for-profit organisation that supports the mental health and wellbeing of first responders and their families, the inaugural Thank a First Responder Day in 2020 saw views in the hundreds of thousands for video thank you messages from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Prime Minister, the Governor General, and many other high-profile figures.

Across Australia 300,000 first responders go to work every day without knowing exactly what they will face. From putting their own health at risk on the frontline battling COVID-19, fighting bushfires and being first on the scene at terror attacks, paramedics, firefighters emergency rescue workers and BrandNet clients, the police, have never been under more pressure.

Many first responders do not have the time or resources to recover mentally and physically from what they experience in their line of work. Illnesses such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) are common, and the impacts on first responders, as well as their families, can be overwhelming.

The simple act of saying thanks for the challenging, traumatic and dangerous work they do will ensure these brave men and women know they are recognised, appreciated and valued by the communities they protect.

We, at BrandNet, invite all Australians to show our appreciation to those who dedicate their lives to protecting all of us by going online and sharing your message of thanks to our first responders. A Note on Our Work with Our First Responders

We, at BrandNet, are honoured to be trusted to do a lot of custom merchandise jobs for our police force, particularly NSWPol, AFP, VICPol and QPol for over 30 years. In 2019, we participated in the annual charity event, Wall to Wall Ride for Remembrance, that commemorates the service and sacrifice of our police officers.
