This limited edition cold cast bronze figurine pays tribute to the special bond between the men of the Australian Light Horse and their loyal Australian bred Waler mounts. The Waler, bred specifically for Australia's rugged terrain, proved to be a resilient companion in the deserts of the Middle East. Serving primarily in the Mediterranean and Egyptian Expeditionary Forces, the Australian Light Horse fought against the Ottoman Empire in Gallipoli, Sinai, Palestine, and Syria. Unlike traditional cavalry, the light horse operated as mounted infantry, dismounting to engage in battle. This stunning figurine stands at 22cm in height, 27cm in length, and 18cm in width. Limited to only 5,000 castings, each figurine comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
