Spit and polish for Anzac Day
For tens of thousands of veterans of all ages Anzac Day is time to dust off the old suit or uniform and polish medals. For some the suit is getting snug. For others it seems to have grown two sizes in the wardrobe. For all, this is a time that links to their days in service and the mates they served with.
This is a time of year when mates gather to be mates. To tell tales and recount for some what where the best days of their lives; and for others a time that was the hardest and darkest. It is also a time to remember mates no longer marching in this world. This sharing is what makes Anzac Days so special for those who served and for those who simply look on.
On behalf of all at Military Voice we wish all veterans a day of mateship and family. For those gone we will remember you always.
