Trace the evolution of the Australian soldier through the twentieth century up to the present day with a new range of Master Creations 30cm cold-cast bronze figurines. Featuring intricate detail, each figurine represents an Australian digger during different periods of our nation’s military history – WWI, WWII, Vietnam, the Middle East (Operation Slipper) and the Modern Infantryman.

The new range includes a departure from the purely historical focus of previous Master Creations pieces, with the addition of the Operation Slipper and Modern Infantryman figurines. Ensuring detail and accuracy in more recent and current figurines can be challenging. While there is an extensive photographic record of major 20th century wars and active re-enactment communities dedicated to preserving the living history of these conflicts, this is not always the case with recent campaigns.

Fortunately, Master Creations was able to rely on some great support from 2nd Battallion, Royal Australian Regiment. The diggers from 2RAR and the battallion's historical collection supplied the Master Creations team with the inspiration and reference material for the creation of the Op Slipper and Modern Infantryman figurines. Based on their detailed photographs and guidance our master sculptor was able to create a detailed clay model, which will be the base for all future casts of this figurine.

These figurines capture the enduring character of the Australian digger in a timeless bronze finish. Every piece is the culmination of meticulous research combined with master craftsmanship and is available in miniature (20cm) and full-size (30cm). The full-size version is mounted on a timber base with brass nameplate. Visit the Master Creations feature page to see the full range of new figurines and order yours.
