The Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla marked a significant chapter in history, with the Australian Defence Force (ADF) taking centre stage. Approximately 40 ADF soldiers, sailors, and aviators joined the 600-strong Commonwealth assembly in the Coronation Procession from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace. This contingent, representing nearly 40 nations, had Australia proudly leading, highlighting the strong ties between Australia and the United Kingdom.

The procession, showcasing the event's grandeur, had the Commonwealth contingents marching alphabetically, with thousands of British troops following. The ADF contingent ended the occasion with a final salute to the newly-crowned King and Queen in the Buckingham Palace gardens, a moment of pride and honour.
