This esteemed medal group is comprised of the Australian Active Service Medal (AASM) with the ICAT Clasp, the Afghanistan Medal, the Defence Long Service Medal, and the Australian Defence Medal (ADM), all professionally mounted for wear or display.

The Australian Active Service Medal is a military decoration awarded for active service in designated warlike operations. The ICAT (International Campaign Against Terrorism) Clasp signifies service on operations conducted as part of Australia’s response to international terrorism, including deployments to Afghanistan within designated operation areas.

The Afghanistan Medal recognises service by ADF personnel who served in Afghanistan for the required qualifying period. It acknowledges operational service carried out as part of Australia’s overseas deployments and contributions to international operations in the region.

The Operational Service Medal Border Protection is awarded to ADF personal and eligble civiliansfor service on border protection operations. This medal appreciates the dedicated efforts in ensuring the safety and integrity of Australia's borders at sea and other relevant operational areas.

The Defence Long Service Medal (DLSM) is awarded to a member who has, on or after 14 February 1975, completed 15 years qualifying remunerated service in the Australian Defence Force, including service in Permanent and Reserve Forces. Clasps are awarded every five years of service after being awarded the medal.

The Australian Defence Medal (ADM) recognises Australian Defence Force members who have efficiently completed either an initial enlistment period or four years of service, whichever is the lesser. It highlights the ongoing commitment and contribution to the ADF, including that of Reserve members.

The NATO Medal with the ISAF Clasp is an international military decoration. It is awarded to military personnel who have taken part in North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) operations, particularly within the context of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan. The ISAF Clasp indicates direct service with the ISAF mission under NATO command.
