Shaped like a traditional teardrop wreath, this gold-plated lapel pin features the design of green laurel leaves. Also known as bay leaves, this foliage is often used in the creation of wreaths. At the base of the wreath, three red poppies represent the Navy, Army, and Air Force. A purple ribbon, bearing the poignant message "Lest We Forget," starts high on the left side of the wreath and ends low on the right, symbolising the path of the sun.
