2 RAR Helps to Create New Infantry Figurine

Posted by Military Shop on 4th Apr 2019

BrandNet is proud of the unique relationship we have nurtured with the Australian Defence Force over the last 30 years. We are honoured to work with men and women who serve our nation on a daily basis – and it is our privilege to serve them, in turn.

BrandNet recently released a new range of Master Creations cold-cast bronze figurines, which pays tribute to the Australian infantryman. The range includes full-size and miniature depictions of the Australian soldier during the First and Second World Wars, Vietnam, Operation Slipper and the present day.

Our product development team takes great pride in producing accurate and faithful representations of Australian service people, and they are always looking for the end product to be as realistic as possible. We were therefore humbled and very excited when 2 RAR Historical Collection museum at Lavarack Barracks agreed to give us access to their historical collection of uniforms and equipment, some of which was used by the battalion in the Middle East during Operation Slipper. Our master sculptor was able to use detailed photographs of a 2 RAR soldier in period kit to create the Middle East Digger Figurine.

The result is a great tribute to the soldiers of 2 RAR and the entire Australian Army, as well as a stunning addition to our range of cold-cast bronze figurines that is truly "second to none". BrandNet has donated a pair of the figurines to the 2 RAR Historical Collection, where they are currently on display.
